Oxford is located in Southeastern Pennsylvania. It is in the western portion of Chester County and shares its western boundary with Lancaster County and its southern boundary with the state of Maryland.

You need only travel the roads through the many townships that comprise Oxford (the townships of East Nottingham, Elk, Lower Oxford, Upper Oxford and West Nottingham) to see the beautiful countryside Oxford has to offer.

2002 Chester County Countryside Exchange

In October of 2002, Oxford was one of four communities in the area to participate in the 2002 Chester County Countryside Exchange. Sponsored by the Chester County 2020 Trust, the Glynwood Center assisted Oxford in looking at:

• economic revitalization of the 'older downtown area'
• transportation
• preserving farming and farmland
• regional planning and identity and
• community character and cultural diversity
